An Empath's Manifesto: A Mission To Love

We are living in a time where tensions are high and it can be very emotional. No matter which perspective you choose to take on where the world is headed, I'm sure there's one thing we can all agree on: we are due for a change. What change are we pondering exactly? We are all concerned in some way with the future of humanity. Whether your hope is for all individuals or one, collectively we are in search for tomorrow. No matter your political, social, or religious views, each and every human being is equipt with the ability to create a perspective and decide how to live out their belief systems. Everyday we are faced with a series of choices, and it is up to us to decide how those choices will not only effect ourselves, but everyone involved directly and indirectly. If we are consciously aware of these choices, we are more inclined to decide the best possible option for all parties. We are all connected, threaded intricately throughout the fabric of time. We must learn HOW to be present with each other in realization with this most magnificent wonder. How can we do this you ask? I'm here to tell you my friend it's really quite simple. Love.

“To love at all is to be vulnerable. Love anything and your heart will be wrung and possibly broken. If you want to make sure of keeping it intact you must give it to no one, not even an animal. Wrap it carefully round with hobbies and little luxuries; avoid all entanglements. Lock it up safe in the casket or coffin of your selfishness. But in that casket, safe, dark, motionless, airless, it will change. It will not be broken; it will become unbreakable, impenetrable, irredeemable. To love is to be vulnerable.” ~ C.S. Lewis

One day I pondered this question. What is love? It bothered me so greatly because the world that I looked to wasn't abundantly full of it. I knew I believed in love, and I certainly wanted to feel more of it. However, I quickly figured out I must put all of this knowledge to practice so that my consciousness would shift from simply knowing what I believed, to living it. I needed to seek the answer through action by exemplifying: humility, forgiveness, kindness and compassion, to not just those who cared back, but especially those that didn't. These were the toughest lessons to learn, but the most rewarding. Through being earnest about showing this love no matter what my opinions or feelings were putting me through, I was able to conquer my judgments and allow myself to love unconditionally. Now I can't speak for those whom I've given this love to, and I can't tell you what it did for them, but I can assure you it liberated me.

This website is a labor of love. It is my prayer that every life that I encounter will be inspired and uplifted to reach their full potential. I am an individual on a mission to give, share and teach love in it's purest form. I am far from perfect and will never make the claim to be. We are all here to learn and grow not just physically, but holistically. In my growth I've learned that this life is not just about how I want to live it for myself, rather the question is 'How can I live it with everyone, everywhere?'. This was my greatest lesson of self discovery as I cannot exist in a world alone and neither can any of you.

I don't want to speak to any one religion, but there's one system of belief I follow and it goes:

1. Love the creator first and above all things.

2. Love your neighbor like you love yourself.

Not one human has ever created their own existence, and neither has one ever created a Universe as vast and complex. Everything we create has an origin, whether we'd like to admit it or not, so do we. Since we didn't make ourselves or this world or universe, you will be grateful to know something Divine indeed created it and is holding it all together. I cannot feel anything other than apprecation for the mind that created me, as I am happy to be here. Now if you love your neighbor like you love yourself, that means you first have to love yourself. Next the love you give yourself must be proper, and it can never be selfish if you give that same love to your fellow man. If you can do at least these two things wholeheartedly, you will live the complete life not just later but now!

Many Blessings and Love,

Bijou B
